Senior Estimator
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000
Location: Inner Eastern Suburbs

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our growing commercial construction team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to take on a leadership role. We're seeking an experienced Estimator who demonstrates exceptional performance and a commitment to our company's success.

About Us

Randstad are partnering with a well respected National Commercial builder, who construct projects up to $400m across multiple sectors, across Australia. This builder has 30+ years of operation, with a strong reputation in delivering complex builds for blue chip clientele.

The Role

As our Senior Estimator, you'll be a key player in our pre-construction phase. You'll be responsible for preparing detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial projects. Your ability to analyse blueprints, evaluate specifications, and collaborate with project managers and subcontractors will be critical.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

  • Conducting detailed takeoff, and analysing proposals and bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors.

  • Identifying and evaluating project risks and opportunities.

  • Mentoring and guiding junior estimators.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrative experience of at least 7-10 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator.
  • Proven expertise with estimating software - Cost X or Cubit
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia.
